Lynde,
I received your email via Ken Zook yesterday and have requested that Jason Russo from my office reach out to you and understand a little bit better. I’m not sure that it is possible to close off traffic from driving through Waterford Lakes. However, there are a lot of things that I’m sure we can address in regards to pedestrian safety, speeding, etc. Please expect a call from Jason.

How can we close off the roundabout to avalon parkway so Lake Underhill can be safe for our children and our community again..we dont want lake umderhill to be a thoroughfare.

I’m not sure. The OCSO hasn’t said anything. I took a flyover recently to look at the 20+ camps. Skip, we’re working on this issue. I’ve called a Sunshine meeting with Commissioner Edwards and Martinez in the next few weeks to discuss. And I speak with staff weekly asking why we have resolved.

Actually, the State of Florida does govern HOA's. Hi Jennifer, thank you for your service! I have had a number of the homeless ask me about the helicopters that have been flying over and sometimes hovering the homeless camp sites on the east side. I do not recall a barrier being part of the plan. I will pull up the plans this week and see what’s in the budget. I will find out about the noise asap.

I understand that the lighting and landscaping is on hold, but what about a barrier between the roadway and the homes that line it? The temporary north side roadway is awful close to our homes! Also, the pump or compressor that runs day and night sometimes is very loud. Is there some way to muffle that noise?
