Pick-up Your Free Tree
Saturday January 22, 2011 Hosted by Commissioner Thompson, District 4, and Orange County Government. Location: Bear Creek Park- 1600 Bear Crossing Dr., Orlando FL Time: 8:00 a.m.Join us to pick up a free tree and attend a 15 minutes education session on how to plant and care for your new tree.
Adoptions are limited to two trees per household only one time during the program. Trees may only be planted on private property of Orange County residents.
To receive a tree you must bring proof of Orange County residency such as a driver’s license, photo I.D., or utility bill. No pre-registration is necessary. Trees will be distributed on a first come, first served basis.

August 7, District 4 Commissioner Candidate Debate, 1-3:30pm
Candidates for Orange County mayor and the District 4 County Commission seat will face off in a debate Aug. 7 at Avalon Community Church, where they will answer questions submitted by the community. The forum, moderated by conservative talk-show host Ed Dean of WMIE-90.3 FM, is scheduled for 1 to 3:30 p.m. at the church, 13460 Tanja King Blvd. in Avalon Park.

This is one of the largest Relay events in Orlando and it was started in large part due to the efforts of Jennifer Thompson. Join Team Thompson as we Relay to show our support.
May 10, Road “E” Ceremonial Ribbon Cutting, 6:00pm
Join Team Thompson at the East Orlando Chamber of Commerce Ceremonial Ribbon Cutting for the new connector road leading Alafaya Trail to the 528/Beachline from 6-8pm at the intersection of Road “E” and Alafaya Trail.
Bring your family and friends to enjoy refreshments and even take a stroll down the new road.
